Pub Friday

It deleted my draft again. This is annoying. Gary scored an amazing goal, but his gas and electric bill is due soon. He also didn’t realise that Kevin-Prince “Prince” Boateng is a full time Pompey man these days.

I drank Kopparberg, of the pear variety. It’s not too sweet, but refreshing and fruity. Interesting.

Brannigans dry roasted are lovely!

The nut tasting panel has concluded that Brannigans nuts are quite nice. They are only 60p too, which is reasonably priced.

On a lighter note, Gary had his pipes greased the other day.

Pub Friday

Friday, June 19th, 2009

Back to normal, relatively. Castleford win at rugby, chee-ya. Don’t know why that’s particularly exciting. We’ve seen the one who can’t be named. I’m alternating my Britvic 55s, which is interesting.

Gary says hello.

For Ron’s general mental wellbeing, I’d like to remind him that today is Friday. Not yesterday.

I’ll just find out which direction I’m facing with my compass. Oh no, I’ve got man direction instead. That’s far better.

Pub Friday

Friday, May 29th, 2009

Gary and Jam (Team Awesome) were reunited for a slightly unusual Pub Friday, taking in the sights of two villages.

Firstly, food at the Dacre Arms in Brandesburton was splendid. Very busy and rightly so. I went for the “Chicken Trio” which had massive amounts of meat. Gary went for the gammon, similarly plentiful. His also had eggs, which made me a little jealous. I like eggs.

Following this was a darts extravaganza. In Leven. So Gary could stagger home. There was a good selection of beer mats and the UV light from the jukebox made my shoelaces light up. That was quite exciting.

Betttting end.

Pub Friday

Friday, May 8th, 2009

We are in the pub, football on the TV is the Championship play-off. Landlord is the beer of choice, smooth and tasty. Gary is Des, but still rocking out.

There’s been no darting action so far, local yoof hogging the board. We’ve also been japped by the quiz machine: target 21000, 20500 achieved. Y’argh.

Over.
